Search finds words across your conversations. It looks through the titles of your Task Tabs and the text of your messages and responses, and then opens the match directly. It is the fastest way to find something you wrote or received earlier.
Search applies only to your own saved conversations. To research the internet, see Web Search.
How to use it
- Select Search in the sidebar. On a phone, the Search page covers the screen.
- Enter text in the box labeled Find something? Results appear as you type.
- Select a result to open that Task Tab at the matching message.
- When you are finished, select the X in the box to clear the search, or select Search again to close the panel. On a phone, select Back.
Reading the results
- When Search opens, your most recent prompts are listed under Recent. Select one to return to it.
- The line above the results states how many were found, for example: 3 results for “newsletter”.
- Each result shows the Task Tab title, when it was last used (Today, Yesterday, a number of days ago, or a date), and a short excerpt with the matching word in bold.
Sample searches
- A client or product name, for example “Maple Street”
- A campaign term, for example “webinar” or “discount”
- A phrase from an earlier request, for example “email sequence”
Good to know
- Search is not case-sensitive.
- If nothing matches, a message says there are no results for the text you entered. Try a shorter or different term.
- Messages that contain only an attached image or file name are not returned, so search for words that were actually written.
Use short, distinctive terms instead of full sentences. “Rebrand” finds a conversation more reliably than “the plan we discussed for the rebrand last month.”
